Iditarod 2010: Pre-Ceremonial Starts

You've just seen the SP Kennel Teams make their perfect Ceremonial Starts in the 2010 Iditarod. Here's a montage of footage showing what it takes to get them to the starting line:

We've just finished our team meeting and have temporarily gone our separate ways to make final preparations for our early-morning trip to the official start in Willow. As soon as the teams start tomorrow afternoon, I will hurry back to our Anchorage HQ and post complete updates... Stay tuned!

Mac,
Anchorage Daily News has a terrific picture of Aliy in the Ceremonial starts photos... maybe you can get it for the blog. Where do you go after the restart? Deb in Ketchikan

Are you testing us to see if we read the Howler? I can't wait for more updates now! I am anxious to see why Nacho was with the Red team and Kipper with the Black!

No, we're not "testing" you... There have been a number of adjustments to the teams... There will be more today, too... The "final" line-ups probably won't be set until just before the teams head to the line this afternoon... I promise to post the teams again tonight and explain what I can about who, which, where, why, etc...

I will come back here to Anchorage after the re-start this afternoon and post everything I can. I will stay here tomorrow to follow up, then drive up to the Kennel on Tuesday.
