A Stunning Day in Two Rivers, Alaska

It was a stunningly beautiful day today in Two Rivers so Moira went out on the back of the 4-wheelers with Aliy and Meghan for a training run to capture some video to share with you. It will take a few days to edit the video so in the meantime here are a few photos; just as a teaser.

They are wearing jackets already, so it must be cold. That's the one thing I miss about the old website - the 'Current Two Rivers Temperature' gauge. Are you going to bring it back? It was always fun to see it at -50F.

So the Two Rivers temperature appears to be about -20F right now. If thats what you ran in on the 4 X Wheelers, it would have been a Mighty Cold run! Hope your toes aren't cold and I know one of the 4 X Wheelers does not have hand warmers.

Beautiful, but cold enough the dogs have coats on! From my limited, but happy experiences, the trails are wonderful thereabouts.

Can't wait to see and hear this one!!!

It snowed in sympathy with Alaska back here in Connecticut most of yesterday. It was still a white covering over everything from the Nor'easter early this morning.

Woof!!!

Mac, I like watching the videos over and over. Is it possible to have a section for the videos? I really like all the dog pictures. The banner and the "watermark" photo are classic - love them! Thanks for your dedication to making this website my all time favorite. I admit I check often.

Hey Mac! I'd love to see a family tree to show how all current (and past) dogs are related. Since the dog page doesn't list the litters anymore, it's sometimes hard to figure all that out. I know you did it in the past, but an updated one would be great!

It would also be great to have a section on retired dogs with pics of them in their new homes!

You asked for it... You got it!... New video archive section in the right sidebar... Check it out!

The "Family Tree" is a good idea, too... It's not something I can do on my own, so I'll have to run it by the bosses!

We probably can't give everybody everything they might want, but we will do our best to give you all as much as possible on your Dog Log!

You're the best, Macgellan!!! You can tell the family tree now, but it is a research project all its own, and at the end of the day, all sibling don't make the racing team. However, you can tell who are brothers and sisters, parents and in the case of ChaCha, no longer on the racing team, yet the mother and grandmother of many!

So beautiful - and peaceful. I look forward to following you again this year though I doubt this time I can be there.
