The YUKON QUEST Start

How thrilling it was to be in downtown Fairbanks today! The streets were lined with people and traffic. It was a balmy 15 degrees below zero this morning, so the people of interior Alaska were happy to be outside enjoy the sunshine. It warmed up more towards the afternoon and literally, thousands of folks, lined the bridges, starting chute and river banks for the 2012 Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race start.

It doesn't get any better than this!
